Online Darts Arena (ODA) — League Rules
Version: 1.0
Last updated: 21 August 2026
These League Rules apply to official ODA Leagues together with the ODA Terms of Service, ODA Fair Play Policy, the relevant League / Season page and any clearly identified Season-specific conditions.
1. League Structure
ODA may operate international, national or other League competitions.
A League may contain:
- one or more Seasons;
- one or more Divisions;
- League Events;
- League Rankings;
- Season Prize Pools;
- registration hubs and community groups; and
- Season-specific point and payout rules.
Only Divisions actually created and published by ODA are available for entry.
2. Official Registration
Joining a WhatsApp Registration Hub, community or Division group does not create an official League entry.
Official registration takes place through ODA.
A League entry may require:
- an ODA account;
- acceptance of the ODA Terms of Service;
- acceptance of these League Rules;
- a Division eligibility declaration where applicable;
- payment of the Season Entry Fee;
- payment confirmation;
- eligibility review; and
- ODA confirmation of the League place.
Payment alone does not guarantee admission.
3. Registration Deadline and Capacity
Each Season page will state the registration deadline and maximum number of Confirmed Players.
Registration closes when the published deadline is reached or when the maximum number of Confirmed Players is reached, whichever occurs first.
Pending, unpaid or rejected registrations do not automatically count as Confirmed Players unless ODA expressly reserves a place.
ODA may manually resolve exceptional late or incomplete applications where permitted by the published Season rules and mandatory law.
4. Divisions and Eligibility
Each League Division may have a playing-level restriction.
By entering a restricted Division, the player confirms that their actual playing level is appropriate for that Division and may be required to make a fresh eligibility declaration for the Season.
A displayed DartCounter or other third-party average does not automatically guarantee eligibility.
ODA may review recent Tournament history, previous ODA performances, average trends and other relevant evidence of actual playing standard.
Natural improvement is not automatically misconduct. ODA may move or reclassify a player for future competition without treating ordinary improvement as cheating.
Deliberate manipulation is governed by the ODA Fair Play Policy.
5. Season Entry Fee
The Season Entry Fee and any Prize Pool contribution are displayed before payment.
The Season Entry Fee purchases entry to the Season under the published League Rules. Unless expressly stated otherwise, individual League Events do not require an additional entry fee from already confirmed League players.
If ODA rejects a paid registration before participation without deliberate misconduct by the player, ODA will apply the published refund / credit policy and mandatory law.
6. League Events
A Season may contain a fixed number of League Events on published dates or a published recurring schedule.
Only players confirmed for the relevant Season / Division may participate in members-only League Events unless ODA expressly states otherwise.
The League page will state the Event schedule, start time, game format and any special Event conditions.
7. Attendance and Missed Events
Unless the Season page states otherwise, players are not required to participate in every League Event.
A missed Event may result in zero League points.
Missing an individual Event does not automatically create a right to a partial refund of the Season Entry Fee, subject to mandatory law.
If ODA cancels or materially changes an Event, ODA may first reschedule or replace it. Where the paid Season service is materially reduced and no reasonable replacement is provided, ODA will provide any remedy required by applicable law.
8. League Points
League points are awarded under the point system published for the relevant Season.
Points may be awarded according to finishing position, participation or another clearly published criterion.
Historical point records may be corrected where a result was entered incorrectly, voided, disqualified or affected by an eligibility decision.
9. Best X of Y Format
Where a Season uses a Best X of Y system, only the player's highest X Event scores count toward the final League Ranking.
Other Event scores remain part of the player's history but are marked as dropped and do not contribute to the final total.
A missed Event may be treated as zero points under the published Season rules.
10. League Ranking and Tie-Breaks
The League Ranking is determined by the point and tie-break system published for the relevant Season.
Possible tie-break criteria may include:
- League points;
- League Event wins;
- runner-up finishes;
- semi-final finishes;
- quarter-final finishes;
- match wins;
- head-to-head where applicable; or
- an Admin decider where the published criteria still do not resolve the tie.
ODA may correct standings where there is an administrative error, result correction, disqualification or eligibility decision.
11. League Prize Pool
The League page will state how the Season Prize Pool is calculated.
Where a fixed amount from each Confirmed Player's Season Entry is allocated to the Prize Pool, the actual Prize Pool is based on the qualifying confirmed entries.
An advertised "Possible Prize Pool", "Maximum Prize Pool" or "Up to" amount is a maximum and is not guaranteed unless the required number of Confirmed Players is reached.
12. League Payout Structure
The number of paid positions and payout percentages may depend on the final number of Confirmed Players.
The applicable payout tiers will be published for the Season.
ODA must not apply a payout tier to a player-count range for which no payout rule has been published or configured.
Final payout amounts are calculated from the actual confirmed Prize Pool and the applicable published payout tier.
13. Prize Payment
League prize money is payable after the final Season Ranking and eligibility requirements are confirmed.
ODA may temporarily withhold a League prize while reasonably investigating cheating, sandbagging, false eligibility declarations, manipulated results, payment fraud or another material integrity issue.
Players must provide valid payout details.
14. League Community and Registration Hub
ODA may provide a public Registration Hub and private League / Division community groups.
Joining a Registration Hub does not mean the user has paid or been accepted into the League.
Division-specific community access may be limited to Confirmed Players.
Community access may be removed where a registration is rejected, refunded or removed, or where a separate community restriction is imposed.
15. Player Removal and Reclassification
ODA may reclassify or remove a player where their actual playing level is no longer appropriate for the Division or where a material rule breach occurs.
Ordinary improvement is not automatically misconduct.
Where deliberate manipulation or intentional misrepresentation is confirmed, ODA may apply the disciplinary measures in the Fair Play Policy.
16. Season Completion
A Season is complete when the required League Events and ranking process have been completed and ODA confirms the final standings.
ODA may then:
- lock the final League Ranking;
- publish the final standings;
- calculate the final Prize Pool and payouts; and
- identify the Season Champion.
A Season Champion remains subject to any unresolved integrity review relating to that Season.
17. Future Seasons
ODA may create future Seasons with different:
- Divisions;
- player limits;
- entry fees;
- event schedules;
- point systems;
- counting-result rules; and
- payout structures.
A new Season starts with its own registrations, payments, points and results unless ODA expressly publishes a carry-over rule.
18. Season-Specific Information
Where a Season page contains more specific rules, those specific rules apply to that Season unless they conflict with mandatory law or the ODA Terms of Service.
