1. Organiser; contractual documents
ODA Matchplay is operated by Adrian Shabani, trading as Online Darts Arena (ODA), Erdbergstraße 220, 1110 Vienna, Austria; info@oda-darts.com; telephone +43 677 63815884. These terms supplement the ODA Terms of Service. Where they conflict, these specific Matchplay terms prevail for Matchplay, subject to mandatory law. Neither daily cash tournaments nor the separately operated International League is part of the Matchplay subscription.
2. What the membership includes
ODA Matchplay is a recurring online darts-league membership offering access, subject to eligibility, capacity and published season dates, to organised DartCounter round-robin matches, opponent scheduling, verified standings, statistics, sporting progression, awards and administration. The officially verified first-, second- and third-place players of each completed active division are each entitled to one physical division trophy and an official certificate of achievement confirming their placing, subject to the published sporting rules and eligibility verification. Only first place earns the division champion title. Matchplay does not award cash prize money.
Members-only giveaways and random prize draws are not included in the membership. The subscription does not promise a full season for a single month's fee, continuous availability of competitive matches every calendar week, or automatic acceptance to every future season. An individual player's scheduled BYE or an announced break does not by itself entitle the player to an extra match. Material service failures remain subject to consumer remedies.
3. Price, recurring billing and duration
Monthly membership price: £6.99 GBP. The checkout must show the final tax-inclusive amount charged by ODA and any unavoidable ODA charges before confirmation. The subscription begins on verified activation and renews monthly according to the actual PayPal billing date shown to the member. Players joining on different dates may have different renewal dates. The membership has no minimum contractual term and continues until cancelled; there is no promise that one payment covers the full sporting season.
For transparency, a 16-player division has 15 matchweeks. Under the planned November 2026–February 2027 schedule, four monthly payments of £6.99 total £27.96. This is an illustrative calculation, not a fixed season charge, minimum payment commitment or four-payment cap. Actual PayPal activation and renewal dates, published breaks, season changes and the duration of the subscription can change the number and total of payments. The subscription does not automatically end when a season finishes.
First-season payments: Applications may be submitted from 18 October 2026. Subject to production readiness, checkout opens to approved players on 2 November 2026. The first official matchweek begins 16 November 2026. Consequently, some members' first paid period may start before competitive play begins. This arrangement and the start of paid preparatory benefits must be stated plainly next to checkout; ODA should not imply billing begins on 16 November unless PayPal actually implements that billing schedule.
A member can cancel the recurring payment authorisation at any time using the applicable PayPal subscription-management method or by contacting ODA, and ODA will provide an accessible account-management route. Cancellation stops future renewal charges once processed in accordance with payment-provider procedures and does not automatically entitle ODA to retain a payment taken after valid timely cancellation. ODA confirms cancellation and shows the membership's paid-through date. If no refund/withdrawal right applies, benefits ordinarily continue until the end of the already paid period. There is no separate cancellation penalty.
Cancellation is different from statutory withdrawal. See Section 12.
4. Admission, age and eligibility
Matchplay is for adults aged 18 or older (or a higher legally applicable age). Before a new member is allowed to pay, ODA requires a completed private player profile, accurate contact and available-delivery address, public display name, nation, the user's own DartCounter username, and the required playing-level information.
An established ODA Recent Average may be used under ODA's disclosed eligibility framework. A player without reliable ODA performance data must truthfully declare a genuine current average not higher than 75.00, upload recent relevant DartCounter evidence and pass any required manual checks. ODA may request additional evidence where reasonably needed to verify a player's actual level or account ownership. A displayed platform average does not override stronger reliable evidence. Eligibility review must be proportionate; natural improvement and a high-scoring isolated match are not proof of manipulation.
Approval and payment confirmation reserve a valid Season 1 participation place; final sporting division assignment is a separate later step. ODA cannot promise a particular tier before the division rosters are approved. The dashboard distinguishes Eligibility Approved (entry checks passed), Payment Pending (payment due or awaiting verification), Registration Confirmed (approval, a participation slot and independently verified payment), and Division Assigned (final published sporting allocation). A participation slot is reserved securely before checkout; a finalized division rank is not a payment-unlock condition.
5. Season 1 milestones (Europe/London)
- Applications open: 18 October 2026.
- Public subscription checkout for approved applicants: 2 November 2026, conditional on verified payment readiness.
- Application and initial Season 1 payment deadline: 10 November 2026, 23:59 UK.
- Administrator confirms division rosters: 11 November 2026.
- Official fixtures published: 12 November 2026, after administrator approval.
- Matchweek 1 availability deadline: 15 November 2026, 23:59 UK.
- First official matchweek: 16–22 November 2026.
- Matchweek 1 appointment-confirmation extension: 18 November 2026, 23:59 UK.
- Matchweek 1 completion deadline: 22 November 2026, 23:59 UK.
UK civil time (Europe/London) is the controlling time standard; players may display local conversions. The 16-player format normally spans 15 matchweeks; if these weeks run consecutively, the final scheduled week ends 28 February 2027. Any approved pre-announced breaks shift the applicable later dates, which ODA must publish before they take effect.
6. Capacity, divisions and fair placement
Each active division contains at least 6 and at most 16 players. ODA activates only as many divisions as confirmed eligible paid participants support. The sporting tier order, lowest to highest, is Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond → ODA Legends. These are league positions earned by performance, not separate fixed average categories.
In Season 1, where more than one division can be formed, ODA assesses relevant verified playing strength to prepare a reasoned and fair initial allocation; administrators approve the final roster. From later seasons, confirmed sporting promotion/relegation carries priority subject to lawful eligibility and viable division sizes. Division sizes should be balanced where feasible; ODA must not quietly exceed 16 or create a competing league below six players.
If minimum viable numbers are not reached by the launch deadline, ODA must inform the affected players, suspend or cancel further inappropriate subscription charges, and offer the remedy required by law for paid services it cannot supply. ODA will not force a non-equivalent credit instead of an applicable refund. Reallocation to another suitable division requires a fair, clearly explained decision.
7. Competitive format and weekly fixtures
All official Matchplay matches use 501 Double Out, Best of 9 Legs (first to five legs). Each player plays each other division member once during the regular season, generally one match per week. There are no championship semifinals, playoffs, finals or promotion/relegation playoff matches.
A standard win earns 2 league points and a loss earns 0. Draws are not possible under the stated match format. A properly verified walkover win earns 2 points without fictitious leg scores; a verified double forfeit earns 0 each. BYEs are not victories and carry no points.
Even-player leagues normally require N−1 matchweeks; odd-player leagues require N matchweeks with rotating BYEs. For 16 players the schedule has 15 matchweeks and 120 fixtures. Smaller groups have the appropriate fewer fixtures, with any league-wide rest weeks communicated ahead of time.
8. Appointments, availability and missed matches
Once fixtures are published, each player must enter genuinely reasonable availability windows and respond in good faith to their opponent. The system may suggest overlapping times; an appointment becomes official only when both players agree and it receives any required ODA approval.
For Matchweek 1, availability must be submitted by 15 November, appointment confirmation may be completed until 18 November, and the match must be completed by 22 November 2026, all at 23:59 UK. From Matchweek 2, the normal scheduling deadline is 23:59 UK on the Sunday before the matchweek, and the match completion deadline is 23:59 UK on its concluding Sunday, unless a published exception applies.
Where a player fails to participate in reasonable scheduling or misses an approved appointment without good reason, ODA may impose a walkover after reviewing available evidence. If both players fail without reasonable excuse, a double forfeit may be confirmed. If both cooperate but have no usable overlapping slot, ODA mediates rather than automatically punishing them. Timely reasonable availability submission and documented attempts are relevant evidence. Administrators record the reasons and allow correction of material errors.
9. Results, fair play and evidence
Both players must comply with the applicable DartCounter format, scoring and camera rules. Result screenshots must show the final score and, where available, player statistics. A player submits the result, their opponent may confirm/dispute it, and an authorised ODA administrator approves the official record. Unverified or missing optional statistics must not be invented.
A match contributes to the standings only once its result is approved. ODA may correct proven errors and reconsider evidence through a documented process. Suspected in-game cheating or scoring problems should be reported as early as practicable using DartCounter's reporting tools so relevant evidence can be retained. That procedure does not exclude other serious complaints or statutory rights. Sanctions must follow the published Fair Play Policy and be proportionate to evidence.
10. League Standings and Tiebreakers
The official league standings are determined in the following order:
- League Points: The player with the highest number of points ranks higher.
- Leg Difference: If players have equal points, the player with the better overall leg difference ranks higher.
- Head-to-Head: If players remain tied, their direct match results determine the ranking. Where three or more players remain tied, a mini-table based on their matches against one another is used, comparing head-to-head points, leg difference and legs won in that order.
- Total Legs Won: If the tie remains unresolved, the player with more legs won across the entire season ranks higher.
- Season Average: If players remain tied, the player with the higher verified Matchplay season three-dart average ranks higher.
- Official Draw of Lots: If all previous criteria fail to resolve a tie affecting a trophy position, the championship, promotion or relegation, the remaining positions will be determined through a transparent, randomly conducted and documented draw supervised by ODA. The affected players will be informed of the procedure and outcome.
Only officially verified matches and statistics are considered.
The Matchplay season average must be calculated consistently using verified scoring data. Where an accurate, comparable season average cannot be established, this criterion is skipped.
Administrative walkovers award league points but do not generate artificial leg statistics or affect the season average.
These criteria apply to every ODA Matchplay division and must be published before the season starts.
No additional championship, promotion or relegation playoff matches will be held.
ODA may correct verified administrative errors but cannot retrospectively change these tiebreaking rules.
Every division displays: Position; Player; Played; Wins; Losses; Legs For/Against; Leg Difference; Verified Matchplay Average; Points.
The confirmed first-place player is the division champion. The final table must be confirmed after pending valid results and sporting disputes have been processed.
11. Direct promotion and relegation
Promotion and relegation are determined from the official season table, with no relegation or promotion playoffs. Standard quotas for a division with a viable adjacent active tier are:
| Number of players | Standard direct promotion places | Standard direct relegation places |
|---|---|---|
| 6–7 | 1 | 1 |
| 8–11 | 2 | 2 |
| 12–15 | 3 | 3 |
| 16 | 4 | 4 |
At full 16-player size, this ordinarily means positions 1–4 promoted, 5–12 retained, and 13–16 relegated, where both adjacent active tiers exist and the matching swaps remain viable.
When two adjacent divisions have different quotas, their exchange is balanced at the lower of the two standard quotas, so equal numbers move in opposite directions and division sizes do not become invalid. The highest active division has no promotion destination; the lowest active division has no relegation destination; one standalone league has no interdivision moves. Effective promotion/relegation zones must be published and displayed based on the actual adjacent divisions, not a fixed four-place label in every table.
Before the next season, ODA reviews returning members, incoming members, withdrawals, the number of active divisions and previously earned moves. Structural changes may require reasonable, transparent adjustments to keep valid division sizes. Administrators approve the resulting plan and cannot arbitrarily overturn an earned sporting result or historical title.
12. Consumer withdrawal, cancellation and failed payments
Fourteen-day initial withdrawal right
ODA grants consumer Matchplay subscribers the right to withdraw within 14 days after conclusion of the subscription contract by giving ODA a clear statement, without needing to explain why. This reflects the existing ODA consumer-favourable membership policy and does not claim that a fixed-date tournament exemption applies to the recurring membership. As a contractual benefit ODA does not deduct a proportional service-use amount during this first 14-day period. Any more favourable mandatory rights remain unaffected.
To exercise withdrawal, email info@oda-darts.com, send a letter to the operator's published postal address, or use an online withdrawal route where it is available. ODA must provide a visibly accessible online withdrawal function wherever required by applicable law and acknowledge such submissions on a durable medium. This notice does not imply that an online control already exists; you can always send a clear statement using the published email or postal address. Withdrawal is timely if the consumer sends the notification before the deadline. Refunds are processed without undue delay and within any mandatory statutory period, normally to the original means of payment where required. The optional model withdrawal form is below.
Ordinary monthly cancellation
Outside withdrawal, a member may cancel the subscription at any time, stopping future renewals when processed. Paid benefits ordinarily last until the end of the then-current paid billing period. A cancellation is not a refund claim for an otherwise properly supplied period. A player who lets membership lapse during an ongoing season may lose access to future paid participation; ODA must apply the disclosed sporting non-attendance policy fairly, preserve already approved results and avoid automatically awarding forfeits solely from billing status.
Payment failures
If renewal payment fails, ODA provides a seven-day contractual grace period to address the issue where lawful and operationally appropriate. ODA may suspend future paid benefits after this period while the account remains unpaid, with reasonable notice. The grace period does not waive the existence of a valid debt or authorise undisclosed additional fees. No fictitious match outcomes or automatic cancellation of legitimate prior championships are permitted.
ODA cancellation or materially missing service
If ODA cannot form a viable season or materially fails to provide the promised paid service, ODA follows applicable refund and contract remedies, rather than insisting on a non-equivalent credit. Any promise of a replacement season or transfer must be accurate and should not result in unconsented recurring billing for a service that cannot commence.
13. Physical division trophies
The officially verified first-, second- and third-place players of each completed active division are each entitled to one physical ODA Matchplay trophy and an official certificate of achievement confirming their placing. This means three trophies per completed active division, or 18 trophies when all six divisions are active. Only the first-place player receives the official division champion title and championship record. Standard delivery is included worldwide in the monthly membership, with no additional ODA standard shipping charge to the winner. Legal shipping restrictions still apply; an applicant whose destination may be restricted should contact ODA before subscribing so lawful fulfillment arrangements can be clarified. ODA must not impose a surprise mandatory shipping charge.
ODA privately contacts each trophy recipient to verify their delivery name and address. Reasonable delivery times and material delays are communicated. ODA may request information to verify legitimate entitlement or comply with export/customs laws. Any legal obligations and remedies regarding delivery remain in force. Trophy images are illustrations unless an exact product has been specifically promised.
14. Appeals, privacy and account consequences
Sporting corrections and sanctions are handled under the ODA Fair Play Policy with appropriate evidence, reasons and a fair opportunity to address disputed facts when practicable. Any short operational protest deadline does not remove statutory consumer or data-protection rights. Private identity documents, payment identifiers, statistics screenshots and trophy addresses are processed under the Privacy Notice, not exposed in public league records.
A player may contact info@oda-darts.com regarding payment, league decisions, subscription status or complaints. ODA may record rule-version acceptance and significant administrative decisions for reasonable audit purposes.
15. Changes, governing law and rights preserved
Published seasonal fixtures and sporting conditions may be updated prospectively only for legitimate reasons, with reasonable notice and fairness to affected paid members. ODA cannot unilaterally deprive players of already-earned titles or apply a material new contract charge without the consent/legal basis required. Austrian law applies subject to any mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction safeguards available at the consumer's habitual residence.
